college is situated in

The college has good infrastructure
keeping pace with the

in infrastructure is continuously
augmented. The college
administration is fully
involved in the overall
development of the personality
of the students to make
them disciplined citizens.

About
us
The college was established
by the then PEPSU Government
in 1954 to cater to the
needs of the young generation
of this area in the field
of Higher Education. There
was no other institution
at the time of its establishment
to provide teaching facilities
in Arts, Science and Commerce
Faculties within a radius
of 50 Kms. It is the oldest
institution in this part
of the state and was granted
permanent affiliation
by the Punjab University
in 1954 The college remained
affiliated to Kurukshetra
University for 11 years
with effect from 1967
to 1978. Since November
1978, the college has
affiliated to Maharshi
Dayanand University, Rohtak.
The College is registered
under Section 2 (f) &
12(a) of the UGC Act.
The college is situated
in a pollution free area
almost out of the town
and spread over an area
of 33 acres of land, which
has been fully developed
with greeneries. The college
is known for its excellence
in the fields of Academics,
Cultural Activities and
Sports in this area. The

Activities
(A) Academics
Regular teaching work
in the classes goes on
throughout the session.
Evaluation of the students
is done by holding Monthly
Class Tests & Half
Yearly Examinations. Teachers
are encouraged to enhance
their academic qualifications
and such teachers are
sent to various departments
under Faculty Improvement
Programme. Refresher Courses
and Orientation Courses
are conducted by Academic
Staff Colleges at various
places in the country,
to participate in these
courses is mandatory for
being promoted to Higher
Scales. Seminars, Extension
Lectures Science Quiz,
Quiz Contests in other
subjects, Debates and
Declamations, Science
Exhibition, Participation
in State Level Essay Writing
Competitions etc. are
the regular academic activities
for the students, which
are conducted by this
college throughout the
session. Students are

(B) Extra Curricular
Activities
(i) 300 Students are
enrolled under National
Service Scheme Programme
In Three NSS Units Every
Year for rendering Social
Services to the society
under the supervision
of Programme Officers.
Under this Programme regular
activities are held throughout
the year and students
are encouraged to be Socially
Responsible.
(ii) 320 Students of the
college are enrolled every
year in NSS Programme
in Two NCC Units (One
for Boys and another for
Girls) under the supervision
of an NCC Officers. They
are trained in Military
Activities, Mountaineering,
Fire Fighting, and River
Rafting etc.
(C) Sports
Sports activities are
held throughout the year
under the supervision
of Lecturer in Physical
Education. The college
has facility of Cricket,
Foot Ball, Hockey, Badminton,
Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis,
Volley Ball, Basket Ball,
Archery and Track Events.
Students participate in
Inter College, University
Level, Inter University
Level, State Level and
National Level Competitions.
(D) Cultural
Activities
Students of this college
are encouraged to participate
in One Act Play, Group
Dance, Group Song, Mimicry,
Classic Dance, Western
Song, Poetic Recitation
etc. at Zonal and Inter
Zonal Level under the
guidance of Directors.
These activities are socially
based and community oriented.
(E) Writing Skills
College produces a Magazine
Every Year in which the
articles written by students
are published. This improves

Students enrolled in
this college find an opportunity

(G) EDUSAT
The college has the facility
of EDUSAT, to provide

the Settlite from this

already been established
for the EDUSAT. The time
table of the same has
been intimated by the
Higher Education Commissioner,

The institute was established
in 1992 because of the untiring
efforts of his Holiness late
Baba Kheta Nath, a great social
worker of this area. In recognition
of his services, the institution
has been named after him. It
is a Govt. institute established
under World Bank assisted project.
The project cost was Rs. 12
Crore. It was one of the single
largest project of the area
totally funded by World Bank.

Community Development
Centre
A community development centre
sponsored by the ministry of
Human Resources Development
Govt. of India is running in
the institute to cater to the
technical needs of the rural
populace. CDC is engaged in
the technical man power development
, transfer of technology and
providing Technical services
in the villages. About 300 Boys
/ Girls are presently undergoing
training in various trades in
six extension centres.
Sports
The sports and athletics have
been assigned an important place
of in the life of this institute.
Sports activities are supervised
by the sports President. Our
institute entered teams in almost
all the games in Inter polytechnic
tournament and achieved considerable
success.
SFC/SDC
The student fund committee
and the student welfare council
are the pivotal representative
bodies of the students in the
institution. These bodies contain

Us:-
This institute was established
in 1993 as a women wing
of Govt. P.G. College,
Mahendergarh. In 1998
contemporary Govt. Of
Haryana provided status
of Govt. College for Women,
Mahendergarh. In this
college 1700 students
are getting education
in Arts & Commerce
faculty. The college remained
affiliated to M.D.U. Rohtak
upto date. Apart from
syllabus various cocuricular
activities are governed
by the college for the
all round development
of students. NAAC Team
assigned “B”
grade to our institute
during the inspection.
The college is situated
in a pollution free area
almost out of the town
and spread over an area
of 5 acres of land, which
has been fully developed
with greeneries. The college
is known for its excellence
in the fields of Academics,
Cultural Activities and
Sports in this area. The
aims and objective of
this institution are to
produce socially responsible,
ideal, dedicated and disciplined
citizens for the society.

throughout the session.
Evaluation of the students
is done by holding Monthly
Class Tests &Half
Yearly Examinations. Teachers
are encouraged to enhance
their academic qualifications

sent to various departments
under Faculty Improvement
Programme. Refresher Courses
and Orientation Courses
are conducted by Academic
Staff Colleges at various
places in the country,
to participate in these
courses is mandatory for
being promoted to Higher
Scales, Seminars, Extension
Lectures Science Quiz,
Quiz Contests in other
subjects, Debates and
Declamations, Science
Ehhibition, Participation
in State Level Essay Writing
Competitions etc. are
conducted by this college
throughout the session.
Students are encouraged

activities to develop
their attitude towards
the subject concerned.
(B) Extra Curricular
Activities:-
(i) 200 Students are
enrolled under National
Service Scheme Programme
in Two NSS Units Every
Year for rendering Social
Services to the society
under the supervision
of Programme Officers.
Under this Proramme regular
activities are held throughout
the year and students
are encouraged to be Socially
Responsible.
(C) Sports:-
Sports activities are
held throughout the year
under the supervision
of Lecturer in Physical
Education. The college
has facility of Badmintion,Volley
Ball, and Track Evens.
Students participate in
Inter College, Univerity
Level, Inter University,
State Level Competitions.
(D) Cultural
Activities :-
Students of this college
are encouraged to participate
in One Act Play. Group
Dance, Group Song, Mimicry,
Classic Dance, Western
Song, Poetic Recitation
etc. at Zonal and Inter
Zonal Level under the
guidance of Directors.
These activities are socially
based and community oriented.
(E) Writing Skills:-
College produces a Magazine
Every Year in chich the
articles written by students
are published. This improves
the academic caliber and
writing skills of the
students.
(F) Carrer Guidance:-
Students enrolled in
this college find an opportunity
for getting their placements
through Career Guidance
imparted by Learned Educationists,
Technocrats, Beaurocrats
and other important dignitaries
from the society.
(G) EDUSAT:-
The college has the facility
of EDUSAT, to provide
education, to provide
education to the students
of different classes in
various subjects through
the Settalite from 2006
session by the Govt. of
Haryana. A Separte well
furnished room has already
been established for the
EDUSAT. The time table
of the same has been intimated
by the Higher Education
Commissioner, Haryana,
Panchkula. As per the
timetable the students
of the different classes
are attending their lectures
throught EDUSAT at stipulated
time daily.
(H) Women Cell:-
Wemen Cell is working
for the empowerment of
Girls students. Through
of various schemes sponsored
by the government from
time to time.

Eligibility for admissions
to Ist degree Level i.e.

who are eligible for admission

view the number of seats
fixed in the particular
course. Eligibilitycriterion

from a Foreign University
is decided by the University.
